Solid diner fare. Huge menu. They have a number of specialty options (fried broiled chicken, meatloaf, Swedish pancakes) that are worth coming back for. Pies are excellent.

Just don't. Maybe for breakfast if you're starving and desperate. Awful food. The Rueben was dry and barely had meat and sauerkraut. Meatloaf was salty. Mashed potatoes were decent but that's about it.

Best breakfast in the area hands down. They cook it just like I like it. Perfect hash browns, nice and crispy. I've eaten at every other breakfast restaurant in the area... none are worth repeat visit's except for Fob's. The place isn't much to look at and there's not the greatest atmosphere, but the food speaks to my stomach the words it wants to hear. On the plus side, they're right off one of the nicest stretch of road in the area. You can try the others in the area if you like soggy hash browns and half-cooked, bland and tasteless food. These guys are on the mark. Bring cash. The local businesses are stuck in the 40's and city folks brining credit cards and expecting the normal commerce will be disappointed. Bring something to read too.

I loved Fobs- we dropped here on our way back to Chicago so I could fly home. My boyfriend's football team in high school used to come to this place after games and he swore by it...I'm glad he took me here. The service is friendly, the omelettes are GIGANTIC...I got the trash can...or the garbage can...I can't remember. It had everything in it...bacon, sausage crumbles, slices of sausage, onions, cheese, ham...omg everything...ANDDD they put hash browns in there, too. Awesome. Great cute little diner.

Food was adequate. Service was ok. Looked like a few of the seating areas had been blocked off for various reasons. Seems as if the restaurant hadn't upgraded since new, in the 70's....

Visit Fob's every year when vacationing in the U.P., it's a tradition. Breakfast is always excellent and the broasted chicken and potatos are to die for! Quick and friendly service. Save room for pie! It's a hole-in-the-wall type of joint, nothing fancy, just good food. It's hard to find places like this that still serve better than average food for lower than average prices *Edit* - Unfortunately years of neglect have left this place in major disrepair. Do not even go in the bathrooms, the smell will knock you off your feet. The food has always made me hopeful the conditions in the kitchen are better than the rest of the place but I'm starting to have my doubts. Thus my 4 star rating has been reduced to 3. Clean the place up and you'll get that star back.

Corn Beef Hash Me! I'm always getting made fun of when I order this but i don't really care, HMPH! I love my corn beef hash and eggs. My friends say corn beef hash looks like canned dog food (I'm not saying that it looks like that at Fobs) but I don't really care what they think, I love it and Fobs make this "delicacy" quite well. This place is your typical small town diner so you will see alot of regulars here. The waitresses are very nice, last time I was there i was told I was a Beauty by one of the waitresses, she loved my beautiful long jet black hair .. sorry I'm being conceded (okay I'm getting off subject). The last time I was in Crystal Falls I went to Fobs two days in a row for my favorite part of the day, Breakfast! I wanted to be adventurous the second time around and tried the Country Fried Steak and it was very tasty and I recommend it. I need to try the other things on the menu because everything that was coming out of the kitchen looked pretty yummy!

Fobs is a staple in Crystal Falls. The wing dings are TO DIE FOR, taco salad, breakfast, lunch or dinner, this place is the place to go. Highly Recommend

Local greasy spoon dining. Expect most of your food to come from a No. 10 can served by a permed waitress named Flo...

Love stopping here. They have really good breakfast. The garbage can is really good. Not the cleanest place however.

This is a great family restaurant located in a little mall along US 2 in Crystal Falls. We like coming here for breakfast, where you can get filled up for under $5. Great hash browns, eggs and bacon. Service is quick compared to other places in the area. Lots of locals come here for breakfast and lunch, so it does get crowded at times.

fob's has been a family tradition for me for 25 or more years. Our cabin north of here made this a great stop several times per summer. The breakfasts are great, dinners are yummy. Service is friendly and fun. Breakfasts can get busy.

Food was well prepared. We did the Swedish Pancakes, sandwiches, onion rings. Can't say anything was too healthy but there are not many restaurants in the area and this is a hearty, homemade restaurant with friendly service. We found then very accommodating.
